Michael C. Bergren, 76, of Otho passed away at home surrounded by his loving family on September 22, 2019. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, September 26th at 1:00 PM in the Chapel of the Laufersweiler-Sievers Funeral Home. Burial will take place at North Lawn Cemetery with military rites conducted by the V.F.W. Post 1856 and the U.S. Navy Honor Guard. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at Laufersweiler-Sievers Funeral Home He is survived by his wife Charlene Kay Bergren of 37 years, his sons Scott (Christy) Bergren of Fort Dodge, IA, Steven Bergren of Denver, CO, Stacy (Rita) Bergren of Barnum, IA, Travis Kleppe of Roseville, CA, his daughter Susan (Don) Zeka of Fort Dodge, IA, brother Mark (Donnell) Skow and sister Lisa (Randy) Thoren, grandchildren Shanda Bergren, Kyle Bickford, Jana Reekers, Chad Janey, Nicholas Janey, Amanda Davies, Corissa Duffy, Hally Bergren, Kea Dencklau, Bryce Bergren, Kylie Bergren,12 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents. Michael C. Bergren was born December 8th, 1942 in Fort Dodge, Iowa. The son of Cleo and Dorothy (Clipperton) Bergren. He attended Fort Dodge Schools and served in the United States Navy. Mike's pride and joy was his family and friends, always putting others before himself. Mike enjoyed camping (especially at the Iowa State Fair), playing cards, fishing and his lifelong pursuit of hidden treasures.
