Michael Caroll Anderson

Michael C. Anderson, 77, of Vincent passed away Sunday, July 23, 2023 at Van Diest Medical Center. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, July 27, 2023, at Laufersweiler Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Newark Township Cemetery. A visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Michael is survived by his wife Shelia, son Tim of Duncombe, daughter Angie Anderson (Troy Wilkinson) of Pomeroy, grandson Caleb Weimer (Suzanne Nelson) and his children Bentley and Jase, granddaughter Catie (Pat) Newland and their daughter Kinsley. He was preceded by his parents Carroll and Rose (Chipka) Anderson. Michael Carroll Anderson was born October 2, 1945. He was first raised in Paton, Iowa before moving to the family farm in Vincent. Michael graduated from Fort Dodge Senior High School. On August 20, 1965, he was united in marriage to Shelia Strom and they couple made their home on a farm near Vincent. Michael farmed his entire life. Michael also worked for RoJohn's Home Improvement for over 50 years, never retiring and working when he could even after his diagnosis. Michael enjoyed horses and was a past 4-H volunteer. Michael had a passion for farming and used International Tractors in his labors. Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
