Michael J. Thomas, 49, of Fort Dodge, passed away on Friday, July 17, 2015. A Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. in the Chapel of the Laufersweiler-Sievers Funeral Home with Rev. Tim Myers officiating. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home. Survivors include his wife Tina; son, Ben Thomas and his wife Cyndi of Fort Dodge and their son Brylie and their daughter on the way, Alaynah all of Fort Dodge; son, Tim Jones and his wife Emily and their children Natalie and Rachel Jones all of Fort Dodge; brother, Glenn Thomas of Oregon; and his sister, Diane Davis and her husband, Larry of Las Vegas, NV. He was preceded in death by his parents, Harold P. and Loretta (Kelly) Thomas. Michael John Thomas was born on June 26, 1966 in Buena Park, CA. He attended schools in Orange County, CA. For most of his life Michael was an independent Semi Truck owner; working for various companies. On November 29, 2008, he was united in marriage to Tina Jones and the couple made their home in Fort Dodge. Michael enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle, swimming, golfing, and wood working. He will be missed by all who knew him. Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
