Michael Milligan

Michael I. Milligan, 76, of Coalville passed away Tuesday, March 18, 2025 at his home.

Graveside services will be held at a later date at North Lawn Cemetery.

Survivors include his wife, Beverly Mericle, son, Dennis and wife Lindsey Milligan of Fort Dodge, Karin Milligan of Fort Dodge, son Steven Milligan and his wife Amanda of Fort Dodge, step-daughter, Stacey Mericle of Fort Dodge, 11 grandchildren, 6 step-grandchildren, and several great grandchildren.

He was preceded by his parents C. Ivan and Lois (Klinger) Milligan.

Michael Ivan Milligan was born on July 10, 1948 in Fort Dodge. He was raised and educated in Gowrie and graduated from Gowrie High School in 1966. On January 20, 1968 he was united in marriage to Linda Anderson, through this union the couple had 3 children Dennis, Karin, and Steven. The couple were later divorced. Michael worked for North Central Regional Solid Waste for 27 years, retiring in 2018. Michael married Beverly Mericle and they made their home in Fort Dodge. He loved riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle. He was a fan of the Iowa Hawkeyes and enjoyed watching the Iowa State Cyclones play, He also loved boxer dogs.

Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
