Michael Skinny Mccrady

Michael "Skinny" McCrady, 52, of Fort Dodge passed away Tuesday, December 13, 2016, at the Paula J. Baber Hospice Home. Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 16, 2016, at 10:00 a.m. in the chapel of the Laufersweiler-Sievers Funeral Home and 10:30 a.m. at Corpus Christi Church with Msgr. Kevin McCoy officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial. Burial will be in Corpus Christi Cemetery. A visitation will be Thursday from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with a Prayer Vigil at 8:00 p.m. all at the funeral home. Skinny is survived by his children, Michael McCrady Jr. and his wife Ansley of Webster City; Noah, Jonah and Evan all of Lehigh; grandchildren, Xavier, Gavin, and Charlie; mother, Jennie McCrady of Fort Dodge; siblings, Theresa Oothoudt of Willmar MN; Mark (Christine) McCrady; Matthew (Melissa) McCrady both of Fort Dodge; and a host of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Lee McCrady in 2011. Michael Lee McCrady was born on August 25, 1964, in Fort Dodge. He attended schools here. Following his education Skinny went to work at Custom Blenders for several years. He then was employed with U.S.G. for over 15 years. Skinny was united in marriage to Krista Dutcher and to this marriage were born 3 children, Noah, Jonah, and Evan. The couple later divorced. Skinny enjoyed hunting, ice fishing, mushroom hunting. He was an avid Iowa State Cyclone and Pittsburg Steelers fan; and enjoyed watching his favorite driver Matt Kenseth in N.A.S.C.A.R. racing. Skinny's family would like to extend a special thank you to their cousin, Jacque Watters for her love, care and support. Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
