He was preceded in death by his parents, Morison Junior and Norma Jean (Junkman) Ellis; and father and mother-in-law, Lawrence and Irma Seeden. Morrison Eddy Ellis was born March 8, 1952 at Fort Dodge. He graduated from Rockwell City High School with the Class of 1970. On September 1, 1973 he was united in marriage to Linda Seeden at Lake City. The couple made their home on a farm near Jolley, where Eddy farmed for most of his life. Following Eddys retirement, they made their home at Twin Lakes. Eddy was a member of Pilgrim Lutheran Church, Lake City, and Jaycees. Eddy was always considered the dare devil. There was never a stunt or challenge his friends and family dared him to do that he wouldnt. Growing up on the farm outside Jolley, he was an active member of FFA. Eddy was busy during his childrens teen years by spending time in the gym and fields watching them play any sport they were involved in. Both he and Linda enjoyed listening and watching the Iowa Hawkeyes when there were games on the tv, radio or traveling to the game. Eddy was always listening to the oldies, either in the car driving or just tinkering in the shop. Even if you went to the farm today you would still hear the radio in the shop. In his later years, Eddy enjoyed his Saturdays spending time at farm auctions, where he would spend a $1 on a box of anything, putting together farm puzzles on those rainy afternoons or cold winter nights and watching sports on TV. He enjoyed his retired years by working at Bomgaars, there was never an item that you needed at the store that he couldnt find or know of a better solution. His latest hobby was collecting Farmall Tractors which he kept in a storage building in Rockwell City. His grandchildren will remember him the most by all the pranks and jokes he would tease them with.
