Nick is survived by his wife, Nedra; children, Nathan and his wife Nikki (Maguire) of Fort Dodge; Niki Conrad of Fort Dodge; Neven and his wife, Cari (Lawler) of Fort Dodge; 6 grandchildren Liam, Maggie, Clare, Reid, Duke, and Fatma; and siblings, Jayne (Keith) Pronske of Lenexa, KS; Doug (Mary) Conrad; twin sister Nancy (Dean) Bundy; Jeff (Jill) Conrad all of Fort Dodge; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Ann Conrad; and daughter, Noelle. Nicholas J. Conrad was born November 18, 1950 in Fort Dodge. He was raised in Fort Dodge and graduated from FDSH in 1969. Nick served in the United States Army from 1970 until October of 1972. On May 1, 1971 he was united in marriage to Nedra Rossman. The couple first lived in Sioux City and then made their home in Fort Dodge. Nick was employed with the United States Postal Service for over 33 years. He was a member and past president of the Branch 645, National Association of Letter Carriers, and loved his brothers and sisters in blue as family. Nick was very involved in the Golden K Kiwanis, Saint Edmond School, and his community. Nick started life as a Yankees fan before learning the error of his ways, and began his love of the Chicago Cubs. Always a fan of the underdog, Nick's patience and "wait 'til next years" were rewarded in 2016 with a Cubs World Series win. Canada trips with family and friends were cherished above all, and he would encourage anyone to spend time with those you love, even if it's just casting a line. Always tell those you love, that you love them. His joys were his children and grandchildren. In his eyes, they can do no wrong. Memorials may be left to the Paula J. Baber Hospice Home or the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research.
