Oletha Pickett

Oletha Pickett, sunrise June 29, 1954 and her sunset January 6, 2021 in Minnesota. Funeral services will be 3:00 p.m. Friday, January 29, 2021 at Laufersweiler Funeral Home. A visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. She is survived by her children, Julian Pickett of North Dakota, Naomi Pickett of South Carolina, Jisselle Pickett of Minnesota, granddaughter, Jhene, siblings, Otis L. Pickett Jr of Buffalo, NY, Willie L. Pickett of Fort Dodge, Mattie Pearl Monday of Orlando, FL, and Shirlee Brown (Richard) of Crystal, MN, and many nieces and nephews whom she loved as her own. She was preceded in death by parents, Otis & Pearlie Mae Pickett, sisters, Teresa, Helen, Ethel Mae, and Deborah K. Pickett, brothers, Percy Rochon, Jr. and Johnnie Pickett Oletha was born in Fort Dodge and graduated from Fort Dodge Senior High in 1973. Oletha then attended University of Northern Iowa. She moved from Waterloo to Excelsior, Minnesota in 2008 where she worked as a Home Health Aide with Synergy Home Health. Oletha "Big O" was beyond lucky, truly blessed and immensely loved by her family. She always had an open-heart and open-door policy that was immeasurable. Her spirit, love and laugh were infectious and will forever be missed by all who loved her.
