Rockwell City Patricia A. Foley 84, passed away on Thursday, June 18, 2020 at St. Anthony Regional Hospital in Carroll, Iowa. There will be a private family service. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Palmer Swank Funeral Home is serving the family. Patty is survived by her children Ken (Pam) Foley of Timnath, CO, Kathy (Keith) Hiler of Rockwell City, Deb (Craig) Hiler of Rockwell City, Jim (Laurie) Foley of Gretna, NE, David (Mike Hebert) Foley of Lincoln, CA, and Gerald Douglas (Lisa) Foley of Ankeny, grandchildren and great-grandchildren Chris (Jen) Foley and their children Olivia, Saige and Izabella; Mike (Janice) Hiler and their children Warren and Samantha; Tom (Sarah) Hiler and their children Sydney, Calvin, James and Henry; Rebecca (Keith) Kmett and their children Kalina and Keaton; David (Meryl) Hiler and their children Gwenyth, Eden, and Karys; grandchildren Stacie Lada, Jacob Weakland and Benjamin Foley; Michael (Amanda) Carr and their children Kiley and Leah; Zach (Kayla) Carr and their daughter Tenley; half-sister Jean (Andy) Podraza of Algonquin, IL, brother-in-law and sister-in-law Bill and Janice Engle of Yuma, AZ, and brother -in-law Norman Wiemers of Manson. She was preceded in death by her husband Gerald Eugene "Jerry" Foley in 2015, great grandson Asher Foley and her parents. Patricia Ann Grant was born October 6, 1935 in Sioux City, Iowa to Albin Larson and Irma Dumond and later adopted by Loyal and Elizabeth Grant. She was raised and educated in the Rockwell City and Manson area, graduating from Manson High School with the Class of 1954. On December 12, 1954 she was united in marriage to Gerald E. Foley at Trinity Lutheran Church in Knierim. The couple established their home in San Antonio, TX, Portland, OR, Des Moines, Palmer, Iowa for 25 years and later Rockwell City. Patty worked as a devoted homemaker raising her 6 children in rural Palmer. In 1999, they moved into Rockwell City. Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
