Patricia A. Peterson, 84, of Fort Dodge passed away Thursday, September 18, 2014 at Trinity Regional Medical Center. Funeral Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday September 20, 2014 in the Chapel of the Laufersweiler-Sievers Funeral Home and 2:00 p.m. at Sacred Heart Church with Msgr. Kevin McCoy officiating the Mass of Christian Burial. Entombment will follow at the Chapel of Peace Mausoleum in North Lawn Cemetery. There will be a visitation on Saturday from 11:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the funeral home. Patricia is survived by her husband, Carl; sons, Michael Peterson of Alton, IL; Terry (Joyce) Peterson of Manson; Tom (Janet) Peterson of Algonquin, IL; daughter, Shari (Doug) McGough of Manson; 11 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; and sister, Helen Kayser. Patricia was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Sophia (Stang) Ivory; infant son, Kenneth Peterson; sisters, Janice Ivory; Alice Clary; Eileen Smith; Mary Myer; Marcella Green; brothers, Paul and Joseph Ivory. Patricia Ann Ivory was born March 17, 1930 in Barnum. She was raised and educated in Fort Dodge, graduating from Sacred Heart High School in 1947. In 1952, Patricia was united in marriage to Carl Peterson and the couple established their home in Fort Dodge. She worked for Tobin's Packing Company/Hormel's and the Fort Dodge Public School System. She was an avid Notre Dame and Iowa State Cyclone fan. Pat was a past member of the Monican Mothers and was a member of Holy Trinity Parish, Sacred Heart. Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
