Patricia A. Neavin, 74 of Fort Dodge passed away Wednesday, September 25, 2013 at her home. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, September 30th at 10:00 a.m. in the Chapel of the Laufersweiler-Sievers Funeral Home and 10:30 a.m. at Corpus Christi Church with Msgr. Kevin McCoy officiating the Mass of Christian Burial. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be on Sunday from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. with a Vigil at 7:00 p.m. Survivors include her husband, Bob; son, Chuck (Deb) Neavin of Fort Dodge; daughters, Becky Neavin of Fort Dodge; Babin Grall and her husband, Kevin of Ames; daughter-in-law, Kayla Neavin of Fort Dodge; grandchildren, Lucas Neavin, Jason Neavin, Tiffany Neavin, Natalie Neavin, Nash Pressler, Justin Grall, Kaitlyn Grall, Ashley Neavin, and Adam Neavin; great grandchildren, Ryan and Robert Hoffmeier; Adeline and Abigail Neavin, and Ian Watt; sister, Joyce George of Fort Dodge. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Hazel (Archer) Yates, son Bill Neavin in 2004, sisters, Darlene, Sis, Audrey, Colleen and Janice; brothers, Bud, Pete, Jay, Nick, Don, and Chuck Yates. Patricia Anne Yates was born on October 25, 1938, in Fort Dodge. She attended schools here and graduated from Fort Dodge Senior High School in 1957. On December 24, 1957, she was united in marriage to Robert Neavin and the couple established their home in Fort Dodge. They were married for 55 years. Patricia worked at the Centel Phone Company as an operator for 10 years. She then went to work for Walgreens for over 20 years as a cashier. Patricia enjoyed playing bingo, bowling, puzzles, reading, knitting, attending auctions, and shopping. She will be forever missed by her family. Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
