August 3, 1931 — October 6, 2018

Patricia Isabella Chalstrom, 87, of Fort Dodge passed away Saturday, October 6, 2018 at the Paula J. Baber Hospice Home following a brief illness. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 13th at 11:00 a.m. at First United Methodist Church with Pastor Andrea Kraushaar officiating. Burial will be in the North Lawn Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Friday, October 12th at Laufersweiler-Sievers Funeral Home. Survivors include children, Nancy and Jeff Harris, Marshalltown, and their daughters, Kate (Ryan) Bour and Zoe; Sarah and Art Johnson, Heath, Texas, and their daughters, Emily, Audrey, and Annie; Carl and Polly Chalstrom, Anamosa and their son, Victor; Tom and Susan Chalstrom, Robins, and their children, Aaron and Ellen; and Dr. John and Jill Chalstrom, Sioux City, and their children, Calvin and Eleanor; and her sister Ramona Holdsworth of Newton. She was preceded in death by her husband Clayton, parents, John Keith and Naomi (Moon) Cameron, daughter, Jane Chalstrom, and brother, Tom Cameron. Patricia Cameron Chalstrom was born August 3, 1931 in Bussey, Iowa. She graduated from Newton High School in 1949. Following her graduation from Iowa State Teachers College, (University of Northern Iowa), she taught at Emerson Hough Elementary School in Newton before moving to Fort Dodge in 1955 where she taught at Lincoln Elementary School until 1959. On August 15, 1958, she was united in marriage to Clayton Chalstrom in Newton. The couple established their home in Fort Dodge where Pat spent countless hours as a volunteer for various organizations including over 30 years for the Trinity Regional Medical Auxiliary. Memorials may be left to Trinity Regional Medical Auxiliary and First United Methodist Church.
