Patrick T. Yetmar, 82, of Clare, passed away Friday, November 1, 2013 at Trinity Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be 10:15 a.m. Tuesday, November 5, 2013 at Laufersweiler-Sievers Funeral Home and a Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00 a.m. at St. Matthew's Church in Clare with Rev. Joseph Dillinger officiating. Burial will follow at St. James Cemetery, Clare with Military Rites conducted by the United States Army Honor Guard. A visitation will be from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. Monday at the funeral home with a Vigil at 6:00 p.m. Patrick is survived by his wife, Greta; daughters, Susan (Rick) Hotz of Clare; Karen Ulrich of Fort Dodge; Kathleen (Kevin) Mayer of East Windsor, NJ; and Marcia (Chad) Doty of Lakeville, MN; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; sister, Mary McMahon of Overland Park, KS; sister-in-law, Kay Yetmar and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Veronica (Rial) Yetmar; infant daughter, Laura; brother, Mike Yetmar and brother-in-law, Mark McMahon. Patrick Terrance Yetmar was born October 13, 1931 in Fort Dodge. He attended Clare area country schools and graduated from St. Matthew's High School. Following his education Pat began farming along with his family. In 1954, Patrick enlisted in the United States Army. He was stationed in Germany during the Korean War before his honorable discharge in 1956. Pat then returned to Clare. On Aug 6, 1966 Pat was united in marriage to Greta Guthrie-Ulrich at St. Matthew's Church. Besides farming, Pat was employed with Van Diest and later Land O'Lakes for many years. Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
