Paul Eldal

Paul J. Eldal, 66, of Moorland passed away Thursday, October 13, 2022 at Paula J. Baber Hospice Home. Funeral services will be 10:30 AM Wednesday, October 19, 2022 at Fulton Lutheran Church in Roelyn. Burial will follow in Fulton Lutheran Cemetery. A visitation will be 4:00 to 7:00 PM Tuesday at Laufersweiler Funeral Home in Fort Dodge. Paul is survived by his wife Jill and daughter Josie Eldal both of Moorland; siblings Lynnea Eldal of Appleton, WI, Jerry Eldal and Jerald Eldal both of Minneapolis. He was preceded in death by his infant daughter Allison and parents Reuben and Marlene (Dayton) Eldal. Paul J. Eldal was born January 9, 1956 in Fort Dodge. He was raised near Moorland and graduated from Prairie Community High School in 1974. On July 25, 1998 he was united in marriage to Jill Schwanz. The couple made their home near Moorland where they farmed. Paul also worked for McClure Engineering Company, Lee's Cabinet and Modern Kitchen. He was a member of Badger Lutheran Church and a past member of Grace Lutheran Church. He also served as a trustee for Fulton Township. Paul's passion was farming and he loved his family very much. Memorials may be left to family discretion.
