Paul Prosper Newman

Paul P. Newman, 58, of Fort Dodge, passed away Friday, August 7, 2015 at his home, surrounded by his family. A Celebration of Life and visitation will be on Tuesday, August 11, 2015 from 4:00 to 7:00 pm at the Laufersweiler-Sievers Funeral Home in Fort Dodge. Paul is survived by his wife, Roberta "Bert" Newman; sons, Tim (Lynn) Newman of Fort Dodge and Shawn (Katie) Newman of Waverly; mother Thelma Newman of Webster City; brothers along with their wives, Mike; Chris; Denny; Jerry; Wesley; Jeff; 7 grandchildren; 4 step grandchildren; and 5 step great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Don and Donna Logsdon; adoptive father, Robert Newman; and brother, Donnie Logsdon. Paul P. Newman was born January 11, 1957 in San Jose, CA. As a young child he and his family moved to Webster City. He attended schools in Webster City. Following his education, he enlisted in the United States Navy and served in Vietnam. After his honorable discharge, Paul returned to Webster City. Paul drove truck for over 36 years, mainly for Crete Carriers and later, Decker Truck Line. In 1979, Paul was united in marriage to Roberta Woolsey and the couple lived in Webster City until 1992 when the family moved to Fort Dodge. He enjoyed camping, fishing, grilling out, and spending time with his family and friends. Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
