Paula Hill

Paula J. Hill, 69, of Fort Dodge, passed away Tuesday September 17, 2024, at Mercy Hospital in Des Moines.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, September 23rd at 10:30 AM in the Chapel of the Laufersweiler Funeral Home with Msgr. Kevin McCoy, officiating. Burial will follow at St. Patrick Cemetery on the Lizard near Clare. Visitation will be on Sunday from 2:00 to 5:00 PM at the funeral home.

Paula is survived by her sisters, Julie Isaacson of Fort Dodge, and Lori (Brian) Breiholz of Fort Dodge; and her brother, Todd (Toni) Black of Port Orange, FL.

Paula is preceded in death by her husband, Burt Hill, parents, Gerald and Delores (Heun) Black, brother Dan Black, and brother-in-law Rod Isaacson.

Paula Jeanne Black was born on January 3, 1955, in Fort Dodge where she was raised and educated, graduating from Fort Dodge Senior High in 1973. On May 28, 1999, she was united in marriage to Burt Hill and the couple made their home in Texarkana, TX. In 2019, she returned to Fort Dodge to be close to her family. She was an avid Dallas Cowboys Fan and loved her vacations by the ocean.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be left to Almost Home Humane Society.
