Paula Sue Sorenson

Paula Sue Sorenson of Fort Dodge passed away Friday, January 13, 2023. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, January 23, 2023 at First Covenant Church. A visitation will 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Sunday at Laufersweiler Funeral Home. Paula Ford was born July 7, 1968 in Webster City to James Orville and Erma Pauline (Xanders) Ford. She is a 1986 graduate of webster City High School. Following graduation, she worked as a CNA at Crestview in Webster City and attended ICCC for nursing. Her future career was cut short due to a back injury but she maintained working at several jobs including, Walmart, Check & Go, and Hy-Vee. She was always willing to lend a helping hand especially at her church, with the United Way, Lord's Cupboard and many community concerts. She was a devoted mother, sister, grandmother, aunt, and friend to everyone. She enjoyed Bingo, country concerts, reading, and baking. Paula is survived by her son Nick (Sara) Ford and their son Jace, daughter Stephanie (Jim) Nilles and their daughter Natalie, daughter Jordyn (Clark) Peterson all of Fort Dodge, siblings Vicky (Tom) Gilbert of Fort Dodge, Stanley of Des Moines, Orville of Sioux City, Lee (Cindy) of Dakota City, NE, many nieces, nephews, cousins, uncle Ronnie Elliot, and friends.
