Rockwell City Pauline E. Walters 99, passed away Thursday, April 29, 2021 at Shady Oaks Care Center, Lake City. Graveside Services will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, May 10, 2021 at Rosehill Cemetery, Rockwell City, with Pastor Anita Bane officiating. Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family. Palmer & Swank Funeral Home, Rockwell City is serving the family. Pauline is survived by her daughters, Janis (Mike) Lindstrom of Spencer, and Marlys (Mick) Fisher of Red Oak, son Bruce (Katy) Walters of Lakewood, Colorado; seven grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; sister Doris Fell of Isanti, Minnesota; and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband Earl; her parents, Paul and Irma (Brown) Gregg, sisters, Marianne Anderson and Darlene Larson; brother Leonard Gregg; and nephews, Jeff Gregg and Stanley Anderson. Pauline Evelyn Gregg Walters was born July 13, 1921 at Rockwell City, Iowa. She attended Lake Creek Township School and graduated from Lake City High School, with the Class of 1939. Pauline was employed at the AAA Office in Rockwell City before she furthered her education and attended AIB College in Des Moines. She worked as a secretary for the YMCA and Liberty Mutual. On September 23, 1945 she was united in marriage to Earl J. Walters at the Woodlawn Christian Church in Lake City. The couple established their home on a farm north of Rockwell City. Pauline worked as a secretary for Gidel & Knop Insurance & Realty and was a part time secretary for the United Methodist Church. In 1981, they moved into Rockwell City, until becoming residents of Sunnyview Independent Living in 2008. Earl passed away in 2014. Pauline was a member of the United Methodist Church, UMW, PEO, Rockwell City Federated Study Club, and Chapter EG.
