Pauline E. Korte 83, of Fort Dodge, passed away Sunday, March 31, 2013 at Tompkins Memorial Health Center. A memorial service will be 3:00 PM Tuesday, April 2, 2013 at the Friendship Haven Celebration Center. Laufersweiler-Sievers Funeral Home is serving the family. Pauline is survived by her daughters, Debra Ann Morrow (Terry) of Lake Park and Cyndee Dather of Okoboji; five grandchildren, Nick Morrow (Brandy Youngwirth Morrow) of Fort Collins, CO; Cody Morrow (Meghan Schmidt Morrow) of Duluth, MN; Noreen Morrow of Lake Park; Torrey Proctor (Lacey Dokken Proctor) of Spencer; and Brinn Hopeman (Josh) of Lincoln, NE; two great-grandsons, Sawyer Morrow and Dexter Hopeman; sisters, Rose Holm of Fort Dodge; Margaret Edwards and Sr. Fran Wohn of Chicago, IL. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ruben; sisters, Helen Bellingter, Anna Schmidt, Betty Clarken, Catherine Cain, and Mary Brennan and two infant brothers. Pauline Elizabeth Wohn was born January 21, 1930, the daughter of Joseph and Anna Wohn in Fort Dodge. Pauline graduated from Corpus Christi High School in 1947. Upon graduating she worked for George A. Hormel & Company. On November 21, 1953 Pauline was united in marriage to Ruben Korte. The couple established their home near Rockwell City and Moorland, where they farmed. When the couple retired they moved to Fort Dodge. Memorials may be left to the Ronald McDonald House.
