Pauline "Punky" Grace Urwiler

Pauline (Punky) Urwiler, 88, passed away on Sunday, November 17, 2013, after a brief illness, at the Paula J. Baber Hospice Home. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, November 20, 2013 at 1:00 pm at Laufersweiler-Sievers Funeral Home and 1:30 pm a Mass of Christian Burial will be at Sacred Heart Church with Msgr. Kevin McCoy officiating. Burial will follow at Corpus Christ Cemetery. A visitation will be TODAY from 4;00 to 7:00 pm at the funeral home with a vigil at 6:00 pm. Pauline is survived by her husband of 62 years, Carl, of Ft. Dodge; son, Dr. Mick Urwiler, and his wife, Joy, of Omaha, NE; daughter, Jennilyn Urwiler of Livermore, CA; granddaughter, Heather Stewart, and husband, Phillip, of Springdale, AR; and grandson, Austin Urwiler, of Springdale, AR. Pauline was born June 14, 1925, in Ft. Dodge, IA, and graduated from Ft. Dodge High School. Following her education she and her husband, Carl, owned and operated the Community Tavern for many years. She also worked for her father in the grocery business and was employed as a cashier and hostess for several local businesses. Pauline was preceded in death by her son, Rick, parents, Bill and Jenny Partello, of Ft. Dodge, and her sisters, Mamie Calisesi and Lucy Hart. She loved to sing in the Ft. Dodge Glee Club when it was active. Pauline was an avid bridge player and enjoyed time with family and friends. Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
