Gowrie Paulyne A. Anderson 90, passed away Tuesday, March 10, 2020 at her home. Funeral Services will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, March 13, 2020 at the Zion Lutheran Church, Gowrie, with Pastor Jim Davis officiating. Burial will be at Gowrie Township Cemetery. Visitation will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, Mar. 13, at the Church until service time. Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family. Palmer Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Paulyn is survived by her daughter Linda Carlson of Gowrie; two grandchildren, Jared (Rhonda) Carlson of Rinard, and Jenna Carlson of Fort Dodge; great-grand Noah Carlson; and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Veronica (Stapleton) Paap; her husband Glenn "Trapps" Anderson; son-in-law Ted Carlson; and grandson Adam Carlson. Paulyne Ann Paap was born November 3, 1929 at Fort Dodge, Iowa. She graduated from Fort Dodge Senior High School with the Class of 1947. On June 24, 1952 she was united in marriage to Glenn E. "Trapps" Anderson. The couple made their home in Gowrie. Paulyne was a partner with her husband in Anderson Auction Service. She taught Red Cross swimming lessons and private lessons for many years. Paulyne was a longtime employee for Webster-Calhoun Cooperative Telephone Association. She also served on the Gowrie Ambulance and the Gowrie Zoning Board. She was a past president of the Fort Dodge Quilters Guild, and a member of the Gowrie Quilters. Paulyne was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, and a "cancer survivor". Paulyne thoroughly enjoyed her family and cherished the many friends and contacts she made through auctions and quilting groups.
