Peggy L. Moore

Margaret "Peggy" L. Moore, 95, of Fort Dodge, died peacefully with her family by her side on Sunday June 23, 2019 at the Oakview Care Center in Conrad, IA. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, July 15, 2019 at Corpus Christi Church. A visitation will be one-hour prior at the church. Private burial will be at Corpus Christi Cemetery. Laufersweiler-Sievers Funeral Home is serving the family. Survivors include her daughter, Maralyn (David) Schulze of Marshalltown; son, Michael (Susan) Moore of Fort Dodge; grandchildren, Josh (Trista) Schulze; Jake Schulze; Mara (Alex) Pfaltzgraff and Alex (Melissa) Moore; great-grandchildren, Ezra; Zoe; and Eli. She was preceded in death by her parents, Edwin and Margaret (Peed) Mahoney; husband, Chester Moore; infant son, Mark David Moore; brothers, Charles, Edwin, Donald and Dennis Mahoney; and sister,Joan Fangman. Margaret L. Mahoney was born on July 14, 1923 in Fort Dodge. She was raised and educated in Fort Dodge; graduating from Fort Dodge Senior High School in 1941. Peggy then attended Junior College and completed the Medical Assistant Program. In 1945, she was united in marriage to Chester Moore, the couple established their home in Fort Dodge. Peggy worked for Randall's for 17 years. She was a member of Corpus Christi Church, Catholic Daughters of America, Beta Sigma Phi and was an antique dealer for several years. She was well known for her love of animals and antiques. Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
