Philip J. Cripps, 74, formerly of Fort Dodge passed away Sunday, February 16, 2025, at St. Luke's Hospital, Cedar Rapids.
A Celebration of Life will be at a later date. Laufersweiler Funeral Home is serving the family.
Philip is survived by his son Michael and his wife Dawn of Cedar Rapids, one granddaughter, Ashlee Fuegen (Matthew) Goose Lake, two great grandchildren, Elizabeth and Andrew, one brother Greg Cripps (Sheryl Lee) of Sioux City, two sisters Cheryl Cripps of Council Bluffs, Pam (Tom) Fox of Harlan, several nieces and nephews and extended family, three grandfursons, Jasper, Paws and Tiger. Philip was preceded in death by his parents Floyd and Olga (Hagberg) Cripps.
Philip James Cripps was born July 19, 1950 in Hennepin, Minnesota. He is a graduate from Morningside College. He worked for the Quad City Pathology Group until his retirement.
Philip loved spending time with his family above everything. He loved taking wildlife and nature pictures, cookouts, playing with and taking Jasper for walks, going on trips with Mike and Dawn and his siblings. Philip loved life and loved sharing his stories and memories! Philip will be deeply missed by all!
