Phyllis Riedemann

Phyllis Marie Riedemann, 87, of Fort Dodge, passed away on Monday, February 12th, 2024, at Journey’s, Friendship Haven.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday April 24th from 1:00 to 5:00 PM at Laufersweiler Funeral Home.

Survivors include her husband of 65 years Burnell Riedemann of Fort Dodge, daughter Sandra Heid and her husband Stephan Sr. of Fort Dodge, daughter Dawn Riedemann of Fort Dodge, grandson Stephan Heid Jr. and his wife Miranda of Fort Dodge, granddaughter Cassandra Ashton and her husband Rich, grandson Steven Castillo and his wife Shannon Of Port Republic, MD, granddaughter Jaclyn Castillo of TN, 8 great grandchildren Sterling, Maebellyn, Sapphyre, Maccabee, Adelyn, Carter, Tinsley, and Christopher, brothers Donald Koster and his wife Val of Rochester, MN, and William Koster and his wife Paula of Minneapolis, MN, sister-in-law Norma Koster of MN.

She was preceded by her parents William and Williemina (Natte) Koster, sisters Harriet Beukema, Wilma Joyce Bruchmann, and her brother Lubertus Koster.

Phyllis Marie Koster was born on November 1, 1936, in Tyler, MN. She was raised and educated there. On January 25, 1959, she was united in marriage to Burnell Riedemann. The couple established their home in Cherokee. Phyllis was a daycare provider for over 30 plus years. In 2014, the couple moved to Fort Dodge to be close to their daughters. Phyllis enjoyed reading and walking at the Crossroads Mall. She was a past member of the Trinity Lutheran Church, Cherokee, IA.
