Rachel Lynn Krantz

Rachel L. Krantz, 60, of Fort Dodge, passed away Wednesday, October 16, 2013 at her home. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 19, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. in the chapel of the Laufersweiler-Sievers Funeral Home with Msgr. Kevin McCoy officiating. Burial will be in the Otho Cemetery. Visitation will be TODAY from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Survivors include her husband, Paul; children, Keith Krantz; Lori Redwing; Kevin Krantz; Jeff (Robbie) Krant; Robert (Alissa) Krantz; 10 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; siblings, Rosemary (Don) Benson; Rod (Linda) Crouse; Rick Crouse; and Randy Crouse. Rachel is preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Edna (Grundon) Crouse and brothers, Rocky and Roger. Rachel Linn Krantz was born April 20, 1953 in Fort Dodge. She received her education in the Fort Dodge Public School System. Rachel married Paul Krantz November 9, 1975 at the Otho-Kalo Church. The couple then established their home in the Otho area. She was employed with the Otho Convenience Store for many years, retiring due to ill health. She greatly enjoyed her dates with Paul going to the "Saturday Night Jam Sessions" at the Otho Community Center. Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
