Ida Grove Randy J. Torborg 58, formerly of Rockwell City, passed away unexpectedly Friday, March 8, 2019 at home in Ida Grove. A Celebration of Life Service will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday, April 27, 2019 at St. Francis Catholic Church, Rockwell City, with Fr. Lynn Bruch officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial. Visitation will be 12:00 p.m. Noon Saturday at the Church until Service time. Burial will be at St. Francis Cemetery. Palmer & Swank Funeral Home, Rockwell City is serving the family. Randy is survived by his sister Pam (Rob) Wise of Rockwell City; two nieces, Amanda (Jarid) Kuchenreuther of Rockwell City, and Jessica (Eric) Pierce of Elkhorn, Nebraska; great-niece Peyton Kuchenreuther; and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ben and Dorothy (Macht) Torborg. Randal Joseph Torborg was born September 1, 1960 at Sioux Falls, South Dakota. He graduated from Rockwell City High School, with the Class of 1978. Randy worked in Ida Grove at Midwest Industries and VT Industries in Holstein. Randy took great pride in his work and enjoyed his co-workers. Randy dearly loved his family and cherished his two nieces, Amanda and Jessica. Pictures of his family covered his refrigerator and were displayed at his home. Randy loved to fish, especially at Lake Koronis, Paynesville, Minnesota with his Uncle Jerry, and to race his Trans Am.
