Ricky Estlund

Rick L. Estlund, 51, of Fort Dodge passed away Thursday, July 18, 2024 at his home.

Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Tuesday, July 23, 2024 in the chapel of Laufersweiler Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. A visitation will be 10:00 AM until the start of the service at the funeral home.

Ricky is survived by his children, Gabriella Estlund and Alexa Estlund both of Iowa City, Brayden (Torie) Collins of Fort Dodge and his granddaughter, Kaylee and Bryce Collins of Eldridge; brother, David (Deb) Estlund of Fort Dodge; caretaker and beloved friend, Shelly Habhab; best friend Johnnie Habhab, Jr. of Fort Dodge, kids he thought of as grandchildren, Zoey, Adrian, Madeline, De'Angelo, Kade and Donovan of Fort Dodge as well as numerous other friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Delbert and Gladys (Trask) Estlund.

Rick Lee Estlund was born August 18, 1972 in Fort Dodge. He attended Fort Dodge schools until his high school years when his family moved to Humboldt and he completed school. Ricky was a jack of all trades. He was a handy man and completed numerous jobs. He worked for Estlund Tree Service and even owned and operated Smiley’s Tree Service. Rick enjoyed pheasant hunting and going to auctions with his dad and brother. He also enjoyed racing RC cars, watching motocross and riding Harley motorcycles. HE loved going to casinos or just staying home to barbeque. Every time you met him he had a smile on his face.
