Rita Marlene Estberg

Rita M. Estburg, 48, of Fort Dodge, passed away Monday, April 13, 2015 at her home. A visitation will be Thursday, April 16, 2015 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Laufersweiler-Sievers Funeral Home. A private family prayer service will be held. Rita is survived by her mother, Karol Patterson of Fort Dodge; brothers, Robert (Heidi) Dirks of Fort Dodge; Jim (Debbie) Dirks of Gilmore City; Mike (Tammie) Dirks of Des Moines; special friend and God-daughter, Amy and Angel Remmington of Fort Dodge; several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews; and dog, (Chopper). She was preceded in death by her father, Alfred; and husband, Bob. Rita Marlene Dirks was born August 26, 1966 in Fort Dodge. She was raised in Humboldt and attended the Humboldt School System. Following her education, Rita became employed for I.B.P. in Storm Lake for a number of years. She later worked at Electro Lux in Webster City until retirement in 2009 due to ill health. Rita loved to sing and participate in karaoke. She also enjoyed being with her family. Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
