Robert Eugene Markley

Robert Eugene Markley, 88, of Fort Dodge, passed away on Tuesday, April 7, 2020 at the Paula J. Baber Hospice Home. Private family services will be held at a later date. Survivors include his daughters Sandy Waller of Kamrar, Shari Young, Wanda Markley and son Chad Markley all of Fort Dodge, six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents Ross and Eldora (Mosher) Markley, wife Rebecca in 2007, sister Verda Mae Killion, brother Jack Markley and his grandson Ricky Joe Waller Jr. Robert Eugene Markley was born on July 19, 1931 in Fort Dodge. He was raised and educated in Fort Dodge. On September 24, 1963 he was united in marriage to Rebecca Kubli in Albert Lee, MN. The couple established their home and raised their family in Fort Dodge. Robert worked for 8 years at U.S.G. and then retired in 1990 after working for Gale Van Alstine for 6 years in maintenance at Palace Park Trailer Court. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed hunting. Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
