Robert John Dirks

Robert "Bob" John Dirks, 60, passed away Sunday, March 1, 2020. A Celebration of Life will be 1:00 p.m. Friday, March 6, 2020 at Laufersweiler Funeral Home. A time for gathering and fellowship will begin at 11:00 a.m. until the service at Lauferweiler Funeral Home. He is survived by his mother Karol (Rokke) Patterson of Fort Dodge, brothers Jim (Jenn) Dirks of Gilmore City, Mike (Tammie) Dirks of Des Moines, significant other Heidi Pendleton of Fort Dodge and many nieces and nephews. Bob was preceded in death by his dad Alfred, sister Rita (Bob) Estburg, sisters-in-law Annette and Debbie, several aunts and uncles. Bob Dirks was born March 25, 1959. He was raised and began his education in Manson. In 1967, his family moved to Humboldt, where Bob then attended school. He worked at several companies and held various positions in construction until his health started to fail. Bob loved being outdoors, riding motorcycles, working with his hands and being around family and friends. He also enjoyed reading, puzzles, westerns and flying kites. Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
