Robert Rivers Sr.

Robert Rivers Sr., 58 passed away Monday, January 7, 2019 at the Fort Dodge Villa Care Center. Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 15, 2019 at Laufersweiler-Sievers Funeral Home. He was born in Atmore, Alabama on December 22, 1960 to Carrie Mae Brown-Rivers and Moses Earl Rivers. Robert graduated from ECHS in Atmore, Alabama. He was proceed in death by his parents and sisters, Mary Francis Hall and Iola Tucker. Robert is survived by his siblings, Lillie Ruth Wiggins, Rachel Wiggins, Annie Brown, James Rivers, Jerry Thicklin, Ray Charles Riley and Terry Riley. He is also survived by his children, Cheree Elkins, Robert Rivers Jr., Cody Rivers and step children, Nashonda, Domonick, LaVera and Cadarris. He left behind 21 grandchildren, a host of nieces and nephews especially, a devoted niece, Mary Gene. He loved watching football, fishing, cooking and traveling. He loved all his grand-kids and family. He spent most of his time with family at his side until his passing. He will truly be missed by everyone that knew him. Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
