Robert William Neavin

Robert William Neavin, 82, of Fort Dodge passed away Sunday, June 12, 2016 at Paula J. Baber Hospice Home. Funeral services will be Friday at 10:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Laufersweiler-Sievers Funeral Home and 10:30 a.m. at Corpus Christi Church with Msgr. Kevin McCoy officiating the Mass of Christian Burial. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery. A visitation will be Thursday from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., with a Vigil at 7:00 p.m. all at the funeral home. Survivors include his son, Chuck (Deb) Neavin of Fort Dodge; daughters, Becky Neavin of Fort Dodge; Babin Grall and her husband, Kevin of Ames; daughter-in-law, Kayla Neavin of Fort Dodge; grandchildren, Lucas Neavin, Jason Neavin, Tiffany Neavin, Natalie Neavin, Nash Presler, Justin Grall, Kaitlyn Grall, Ashley Neavin, and Adam Neavin; great grandchildren, Ryan and Robert Hoffmeier; Adeline and Abigail Neavin, and Ian Watt; and his sister, Shirley Utley. He was preceded in death by his parents, Martin and Mildred (Arn) Neavin, wife, Patricia in 2013, son Bill Neavin in 2004, and a brother, Michael Neavin and his infant twin brother; sister, Madonna Neavin Robert William Neavin was born December 26, 1933 in Fort Dodge and attended Sacred Heart Schools. He worked part-time at the Hamilton County Hospital and was a farmer. He farmed throughout Wisconsin, Rolfe, Humboldt, and Badger areas. Robert most recently farmed near Fort Dodge. He was united in marriage to Patricia Yates on December 24, 1957 in Webster City, the couple made their home on a farm near Fort Dodge. Bob retired from farming in 1996. He enjoyed painting landscape art in his free time. Bob truly loved helping people and took pride in all he did. Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
