Rodney A. Peterson was born on June 4, 1951, in Fort Dodge and graduated from Manson High School in 1970. He proudly served in the US Air Force after high school for four years. Rod was united in marriage to Barb Hicks on July 21, 1972, and the couple established their home in Farnhamville. He worked at IBP in Fort Dodge, farmed in the area, and was a truck driver for Bruntlett Elevator in Gowrie. Rod was a member of First United Church in Farnhamville, American Legion Peterson Post #431, Dayton Wranglers, and the Harmony Brigade Barbershop.
Rodney had a deep love for animals, especially horses and dogs, and cherished time spent riding mules and going on trail rides. He enjoyed camping and the great outdoors, often making every adventure unforgettable with his easygoing, fun-loving spirit. Rodney was a caring and devoted dad and grandpa who had a knack for bringing joy to those around him. Always up for a good joke or prank, he had a special gift for making everyone laugh and creating memories full of smiles and laughter. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him, and we are forever grateful that he can now find peace and rest.
The family would like to invite you to wear your favorite Christmas attire to honor Rod's love for the Christmas season.
Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
