Rodney "Rod" Harold Isaacson

Rodney "Rod" H. Isaacson, 65, of Fort Dodge, passed away on Friday, August 20, 2021, at Trinity Regional Medical Center. A Celebration of Rod's life will be held on Thursday, August 26th at 10:30 AM at Laufersweiler Funeral Home with Msgr. Kevin McCoy officiating. Burial will follow at Corpus Christi Cemetery. A time of visitation and sharing will be held on Wednesday from 3:00 to 7:00 PM at Laufersweiler Funeral Home. Survivors include his wife of 47 years Julie of Fort Dodge, daughter Jodi Isaacson, granddaughter Kylee Daisy of Ames, and grandson Kade Isaacson at home, sisters-in-law, Paula Hill, Lori (Brian) Breiholz, brother-in-law Todd (Toni) Black, Ryan (Amber) Isaacson and many other nieces, and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Richard and Ruby (Jetter) Isaacson, and his brother Rich Isaacson. Rodney Harold Isaacson was born on February 2, 1956, in Fort Dodge where he was raised and educated. On July 20, 1974, he was united in marriage to Julie Black and the couple made their home in Fort Dodge. For many years Rod worked with his dad Richard and brother Rich at Isaacson Roofing which he still owned and operated. He enjoyed being outdoors, watching the birds, deer, and wildlife. Rod's number one love was his wife and family, who he would do anything for. He and Julie enjoyed traveling, especially their trips to Arkansas. Rod also loved to ride his Harley Davidson motorcycle anywhere and everywhere. Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
