Roger H. Enos, 89, of Fort Dodge passed away Tuesday, May 30, 2017 at his home. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, June 5, 2017 at the Chapel of Laufersweiler-Sievers Funeral Home with Msgr. Kevin McCoy officiating. Burial will follow at Corpus Christi Cemetery with military rites presented by the U.S. Army Honor Guard and VFW Post 1856. A visitation will be Sunday from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Roger is survived by his wife, Mary; daughters, Penny (Butch) Rudshagen of Dayton; Patricia Webb of Fort Dodge; grandchildren, Paige (Scott) Browning of Brisbane, Australia; Bryce (Anirah) Rudshagen of Dayton; Kyle (Kathleen) Webb of Urbandale; Matt (Chelsea) Webb of Fort Dodge; great-grandchildren, Brooklyn and Matilda Browning, and Parker and Paisley Webb. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ward and Hildred (Woolsey) Enos and son-in-law, Robert Webb. Roger Hopkins Enos was born May 30, 1928 in Denver, Colorado. When he was young, Roger and his family moved to a farm near Webster City. They eventually moved to Fort Dodge and he was educated in the Fort Dodge schools. On August 21, 1948 he was united in marriage to Mary Vicini. The couple established their home in Fort Dodge. In 1952, Roger enlisted in the United States Army. He received his honorable discharge at Fort Hood, Texas in 1954. Roger began his career in construction as a homebuilder. He and Mary later transitioned their company into Enos Builders Floor Refinishing, a hardwood flooring business specializing in new floor installations and refinishing old floors. Due to declining health, he retired in 2008. Known as "Bompy" to his grandkids, Roger was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He was a member of the Italian Mutual Society and Holy Trinity Parish. Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
