Ronald J. Ault, 64, of Fort Dodge passed away Tuesday, November 24, 2015 at Iowa Methodist Medical Center with complications from a short battle with Leukemia. A visitation will be 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Saturday, November 28, 2015 at Laufersweiler-Sievers Funeral Home. A memorial service will follow at 7:00 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home, officiated by Msgr. Kevin McCoy. Ronald is survived by his wife, Sharyl; children, Alyssa (Mike) Collier of Denver, NC; Kevin (Andrea) Ault of Hiawatha; Abby Ault (Jon Hansen) of Mason City; grandchildren, Cole, Lily, and Luke Collier; Henry and Howie Ault; father, Raymond Ault of Fort Dodge; sister, Julie Smith of Fort Dodge. He was preceded in death by his mother, Erma (Kolacia) Ault; and sister, Gwen Bradt. Ronald Joseph Ault was born March 16, 1951 in Fort Dodge. He attended Holy Rosary grade school and graduated from St. Edmond High School. Following his education, Ronald enlisted in the United States Navy. He returned to Fort Dodge after being Honorably Discharged and worked for his father, Ray, at Ray's Meat Market. Ron was united in marriage to Sharyl Barton on September 6, 1975 at Holy Rosary Church and the couple established their home in Fort Dodge. He retired as a letter carrier in 2012 after a 33 year career with the U.S. Postal Service Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
