Ronald M. Wolf, 79, of Gowrie passed away on Friday, March 13, 2020 at the Pearl Valley Rehab and Nursing in Gowrie. A Celebration of Life will be 10:30 AM Friday, June 26, 2020 at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, Farnhamville with Pastor Aaron Zimmerman officiating. Burial will be at lost Grove Township Cemetery, Harcourt with a flag presentation by the American Legion Peterson Post #431 of Gowrie. A visitation will be 9:30 AM until the time of the service at the church. Palmer Funeral Home, Gowrie is in charge of arrangements. Survivors include his wife Janice of Gowrie, daughter Sonja Ballstadt and her husband Scott of Windsor, CO, daughter Darci Wolf of Ames, his grand dogs Sugar and Cinnamon, sister Sharon (Dean) Henderson of Fort Dodge, brothers Don (Donna) Wolf of Farnhamville, Jim (Rosalie) Wolf of Gowrie, and Paul (Shirley) Wolf of Farnhamville. He was preceded in death by his parents Oscar and Edna (Nahnsen) Wolf. Ronald Martin Wolf was born on January 19th, 1941 in Gowrie. He was raised and educated in Gowrie. Ron served in the National Guard from 1962 to 1968. On April 4, 1965 he was united in marriage to Janice Friedrichs, the couple established their home on a farm near Gowrie. Ron farmed and drove truck for Noltes Trucking in Farnhamville and Ranger Trucking Service in Fort Dodge. Ron was known as "Dr. Diesel", he enjoyed restoring trucks and John Deere tractors. He was a member of the American Historical Truck Association, Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Farnhamville and the Fort Dodge Harmony Brigade Barbershop Chorus.
