Rosella K. Davis, 82, of Fort Dodge, passed away Thursday April 10, 2025, at the Marian Home.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM on April 22, 2025, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Lohrville. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Lohrville. There will be a visitation on Monday April 21, 2025, from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at Laufersweiler Funeral Home in Fort Dodge.
Rosella is survived by her children Keith (Jodi) Ricklefs of Knierim, Scott (Kelly) Davis of Fort Dodge, Steve (Patti) Davis of Fort Dodge, grandchildren Kolton Ricklefs, Kaleb Ricklefs, Lexie Davis, Nash Davis, Kendal Gilday-Dube, Kamden Gilday-Dube, Keegan Davis, Kylee Davis, Jason Kaplan, Clayton Brown, brothers Steve Kavanaugh of Lake City, Mike Kavanaugh of Lohrville, Ed Kavanaugh of Aurora, CO, Chris Kavanaugh of Lohrville, sisters Barb Luebbe of Grand Island, NE, and Angie Jensen of Fort Collins, CO.
Rosella is preceded in death by her husband, Curtis, parents, Edward and Monica (Burke) Kavanaugh, and son, Marty Ricklefs.
Rosella K. Kavanaugh was born on October 2, 1942, in Calhoun County. She attended and graduated from Lohrville High School before moving to Rockwell City. Rosella married Kay Ricklefs, and the couple later divorced. In 1975, Rosella moved to Fort Dodge, and was united in marriage to Curtis Davis in Elk Point, SD. The couple established their home in Fort Dodge. Rosella worked at the Twilight Ballroom from 1975-1985. In 1986, she went to work for the Villa Care Center, retiring in 2016 after 30 years. Rosella is a member of Holy Trinity Church.
Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
