Ruth E. Wagner, 102, of Fort Dodge passed away Tuesday, October 20, 2020 at the Marian Home. A Celebration of Ruth's life will be held 1:30 PM Saturday, May 22, 2021 at Veteran's Memorial Park- 1386 National Ave - Fort Dodge. Laufersweiler-Sievers Funeral Home is serving the family. She is survived by her children, Gary (Jeanne) Namisnik of Rancho Cordova, Ca, Kenneth (Melody) Wagner of WA, Craig (Diane) Wagner of Fairfield, IA, Dennis (Nancy) Wagner of New Hampshire, and Rosalee Sue Blanchard of Fort Dodge, IA; 15 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren and 6 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father Henry Dawson, parents George and Mary (Anderson) Larkin, husband Walter Wagner in 1958; and siblings Lois, Fern, Georgia, Clyde, Lyle Dawson, Kenneth Larkin and Jackie Guidarelli. Ruth Elizabeth Dawson was born August 1, 1918 in Otho. Shortly after turning a year old she moved to Fort Dodge. When she was 12, she moved to Buhl, MN and graduated from Buhl High School in 1937. In 1941, she moved back to Fort Dodge. On April 28, 1944 she was united in marriage to Walter Wagner. She worked at the Warden Coffee Shop for 15 years and then managed the lunchroom at Super Value for 10 years. She retired from cooking for over 14 years at the ICCC Cafeteria in 1983. Ruth enjoyed reading, traveling, watching westerns, and was an avid Cubs fan. Memorials may be left to family discretion. Graveside Private
