Scott Alan Lessmeier

Scott Alan Lessmeier, 60, of Fort Dodge passed away Wednesday, October 28, 2015 at his home surrounded by his family. A Celebration of Life will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, November 2, 2015 at Laufersweiler-Sievers Funeral Home, with Msgr. Kevin McCoy officiating. A visitation will be 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home with a Vigil at 6:00 p.m. Scott is survived by his wife, Marilyn; children, Sara; Amanda; and Aaron (Nicole) Lessmeier all of Fort Dodge; grandchildren, Alexis, Taelor, and Jordan; Kaden and Karson; Riley and Maci; sister, Dee Sally (Mike) of Cottonwood, AZ; in-laws, Marie (Gary) Larson; Peg (Mike) Wallner; Michael (Debra) Telfer; Martin Telfer; Mitchell Telfer; nieces and nephews and his family at Jensen Builders. He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Donna Lessmeier; infant brother, Jon Paul; parent-in-laws, Richard and Josephine Telfer. Scott was born July 2, 1955 in Fort Dodge. He graduated Fort Dodge Senior High School in 1974. On June 28, 1975 Scoot was united in marriage at Sacred Heart Church to Marilyn Telfer. He worked for Jensen Builders for over 27 years and various other construction companies. Scott truly enjoyed fishing and was an avid Dallas Cowboy fan. He could be found riding his Harley, watching NASCAR, or attending local stock car races. But most of all, Scott loved his family. Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
