Scott Leff

Scott W. Leff, 66, of Eagle Grove and formerly of Tigard, Oregon passed away Sunday, December 22, 2024 at his home after a courageous battle with cancer.

A Celebration of Life will be at a later date. Laufersweiler Funeral Home is serving the family.

Scott is survived by his wife Heidi, sons Marc (Melissa) Leff of Salem, OR, Eric Leff of Mechanicville, VA, grandsons Kevin, Thomas Leff, Michael Leff, Tyler Leff, and sister Vicky Leff of Florence, OR. He is also survived by stepsons Tony, Robert, and Joseph Schories and step grandsons Jesse, Riley, and Brice Schories.

He was preceded in death by his parents Forest and Laura (Hill) Leff, siblings Randy Leff and Karen Hernandez.

Scott Ward Leff was born October 2, 1958, in Portland, Oregon. He was raised and lived most of his adult life in Oregon. He retired from Bridgeport Distributing in Portland, Oregon due to ill health and moved to Iowa. He made his home in Eagle Grove. On March 21, 2024, Scott was united in marriage to Heidi Hansch.

Scott loved the outdoors. His favorite pastime was camping and has fond memories of camping all summer with his sons. He enjoyed traveling, especially road trips with his dog Maggie May. He liked to smoke meat and barbeque, sharing a meal and time outdoors around a campfire with family and friends. He will be missed.
