Scott Lee Vande Stouwe, 58, of Fort Dodge, passed away on Friday, June 23, 2017, as a result of a sudden illness. A Celebration of Scott's life will be on Saturday, July 15, 2017, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Rides Bar and Grill Banquet Center, 723 S. 31st. St. in Fort Dodge. Laufersweiler-Sievers Funeral Home is serving the family. Survivors include his son, Drew Vande Stouwe of Fort Dodge; sisters, Colette Clark and her husband, Russ of Fort Dodge; Karine Robinson and her husband, Steve of Dallas, TX; brother, Todd Vande Stouwe of Fort Dodge. He was preceded in death by his parents, Dwayne and Fayma (Koontz) Vande Stouwe. Scott Lee Vande Stouwe was born on November 10, 1959, in Sioux Center, IA. They established their home in Hull; later they lived in Atlantic, Boone, Vermillion, S.D. and Sioux City. In 1975, the family moved to Fort Dodge. Scott graduated from Fort Dodge Senior High School. Following his education, he went to work for his dad at Vande Stouwe Construction. He later became self-employed contractor. Scott enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, boating, and his dogs and cat. He was an avid Green Bay Packers and Iowa State Cyclone fan. Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
