Shirley A. Phillips

Paton - Shirley A. Phillips 79, passed away unexpectedly Saturday, August 3, 2019 at her sons home in Paton. Graveside Services will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday, August 8, 2019 at the Callender Cemetery, Callender with Pastors, Greg Stano and Deb Stano officiating. Palmer Funeral Home, Gowrie is serving the family. Shirley is survived by her son David Phillips of Paton; daughter Karen (Doug) Grebner of Early; granddaughter Sarah (Shawn) Schmitt of Early; and sister Bonnie Hall of St. Peters, MO; and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband Eugene Phillips; her parents, Archie and Vencil (Dehart) Davis; and infant brother Kenneth Eugene Davis. Shirley Ann Davis Phillips was born August 31, 1939 at Humboldt, Iowa. She graduated from Humboldt High School. On August 18, 1962, she was united in marriage to Eugene Phillips at Our Saviours Lutheran Church in Callender. Shirley was employed at J.C. Penny Co. and Diamonds Clothing Store, both of Fort Dodge. She was a member of Our Saviours Lutheran Church, Callender. Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
