Stacey Spencer

Stacey Spencer, 61, of Fort Dodge passed away Saturday, August 21, 2021 at Trinity Regional Medical Center. Graveside services will be 11:30 AM Monday, August 30, 2021 at Concordia Cemetery in Fort Dodge with Bishop Dan Jensen officiating. Stacey is survived by her sisters, Elisabeth "Lis" (Jerry) Cawley of Augusta, GA and Sara Spencer of Lodi, CA; daughter-in-law, Jhennifer Sookram of Des Moines; grandson, Lucian Sookram of Des Moines; nieces and nephews, Stefanie, Grady, Marie, Jennifer and Michael. She was preceded in death by her parents, Gerrard and Elisabeth (Beckett) Spencer; her son, Michael Sookram; an infant grandson; and beloved dog, Jacob. Stacey Sue Spencer was born July 1, 1960 in Lodi, CA. She attended schools in the area and graduated from Lodi High School in 1978. She eventually moved to Iowa and graduated from DMACC in 1992. Stacey loved all animals; dragonflies and butterflies were among her favorites but the most special to her were her cats and dogs. She loved to paint and garden. She was known as the "Garden Lady" at her apartment. She loved make mosaic stepping stones for her friends. She will be missed by many. Memorials may be left to family discretion.
