Stefan J. Peters

Stefan J. Peters, 48, of Fort Dodge, passed away on Saturday, April 8, 2017, at his home. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, April 18, 2017, at 10:30 a.m. at Corpus Christi Church with Msgr. Kevin McCoy officiating the Mass of Christian Burial. Burial will be in Corpus Christi Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. with a Rosary at 5:00 p.m. all at Laufersweiler-Sievers Funeral Home. Survivors include his son, Sean of Badger; daughter, Cassidy of Fort Dodge; mother, Agnes Mallinger of Fort Dodge; and his father, Ernie (Mary Beth Evans) Peters of Ames. Stefan John Peters was born on September 8, 1968, in Fort Dodge. He attended schools here and graduated from St. Edmond High School. Then attended St. Ambrose. Following his education, Stefan enlisted in the United States Navy, receiving his honorable discharge in October of 1992. He then returned to Fort Dodge. Stefan was united in marriage to Kristin Grote in Newell. The couple established their home in Fort Dodge. Stefan was employed at Fort Dodge Animal Health for many years. Stefan enjoyed sports and was an avid Cyclone and White Socks fan. Most of all, Stefan loved his family especially laughing, joking, and playing with the younger family members. Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
