Rockwell City Stella M. Dillemuth 92, passed away Friday, November 22, 2019 at Agrace Hospice and Palliative Care in Madison, Wisconsin. Funeral Services will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 26, at St. Pauls Lutheran & Presbyterian Church, Rockwell City, with Pastor James Hoover Mossman officiating. Visitation will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 26, at the Church until service time. Burial will be at Rosehill Cemetery. Memorials may be made to St. Pauls Lutheran & Presbyterian Church, Rockwell City. Stella is survived by her daughters, Vicki Davidson (Stephen) of Boone, Iowa, Nancy Bigelow (Daryl) of Rio Rancho, New Mexico, and Anne Fink (David) of Middleton, Wisconsin; grandchildren, John Bigelow, Katherine Leighninger (Chris), Owen Berg (Ashley), Devon and Nicholas Fink; great grandchild, Nathaniel Leighninger; step-grandchildren, Joel Davidson (Courtney), Baylee Davidson; sisters, Norma Juhl, Storm Lake, Iowa, Marian Gibbs, Loveland, Colorado, Carol Snyder, Sumner, Iowa, and other friends and relatives. She was preceded in death by her parents, August and Martha Krueger Buhr; her beloved husband Russell Dillemuth; sister, Helen Schultz; brother Allen (Bud) Buhr; brothers-in-law, Harold Schultz, Lester Juhl, Reese Gibbs, and Rev. Al Dillemuth; and sister-in-law Wilma Buhr. Stella Margaret Buhr Dillemuth, the daughter of August and Martha Krueger Buhr, was born on February 10, 1927 at Buck Creek, Iowa. She graduated from Sumner High School in 1944, received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Wartburg College in 1947, and completed her library certification from the University of Northern Iowa in 1967. Stella taught in the Keystone, Somers, and Rockwell City Schools. In 1949, she was united in marriage with Russell Dillemuth at Sumner, Iowa, and they established their home in Rockwell City. Stella was a member of St. Pauls Lutheran and Presbyterian Church, a life member of the National Education Association, a former member of the Iowa State Education Association, a trustee of the Carnegie Public Library for many years and served on the building committee for the present library and community center. She was a charter member of the Calhoun County Branch of the American Association of University Women. Palmer & Swank Funeral Home, Rockwell City is serving the family.
