Steve H. Strickland

Rockwell City Steven H. Strickland, 64, of Rockwell City, passed away on Saturday, December 8, 2018 at his home. Survivors include his loving daughter, Heather Miller of Fort Dodge and his grandsons, Anthony Miller and Austin Lee; siblings, Joni (John) Hepp, Randy Strickland, both of Rockwell City; Daryl (Susan) Strickland of Florida; Jack (Gloria) Strickland of Humboldt; Jerry (Wilma) Strickland of Illinois; Karen Legore of Kansas; and Dennis (Dee) Strickland of Texas; special nephew, Jonny Sannes of Norway; along with many other nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Howard and Pauline (McCoy) Strickland; and his brothers, Dick and Gary. Steve H. Strickland was born on January 27, 1954 in Lake City, Iowa. He graduated from Westview High School in Lake City in 1972. Steve retired from Switzer Foods in St. Louis in 2015. He returned to Rockwell City shortly after. Steves greatest joy was spending time with Heather, Anthony, and Austin. He was a best friend, an amazing dad and grandpa. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family. SERVICES Memorial services will be held at 3:00 PM on Tuesday, December 11th at Palmer-Swank Funeral Home in Rockwell City with Rev. Chadric Dietrich, officiating. OFFICIATING Rev. Chadric Dietrich VISITATION Visitation will begin at 2:00 PM on Tuesday at the funeral home in Rockwell City INTERMENT Private Family Burial at a later date
