Steve R Droste

Steve R. Droste, 61, of Fort Dodge, passed away Sunday, August 17, 2014 at Trinity Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be held 10:30 A.M. on Tuesday, August 26, 2014 in the Chapel of Laufersweiler-Sievers Funeral Home with Rev. Gary Snook officiating. A visitation will be held 9:00 A.M. prior to the service at the funeral home. Survivors include his children, Nikki Welch of Waverly; Eric Droste of Jacksonville, N.C.; mother, Marlene (Kilcoyne) Droste of Waverly; and sister, Nanette Droste of Waverly. Steve was preceded in death by his father, Robert Droste; and brother, Robbie. Steven R. Droste was born December 13, 1952 in Oelwein. He attended school in Oelwein, graduating from Sacred Heart High School. Steve then attended Iowa Central Community College in Fort Dodge. Shortly after his education, Steve met and later married Glenda Hefty. They established their home in Fort Dodge. The couple later divorced. Steve was a long-time carpet layer throughout central Iowa. Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
