Rinard Steven C. Miller 65, passed away Friday, April 16, 2021 unexpectedly at his home in Rinard. Graveside Services will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, May 8, 2021 at Cedar Township Cemetery, Rinard, with Pastor Jim Davis officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be left to the discretion of the family. Palmer & Swank Funeral Home, Rockwell City is serving the family. Steve is survived by his daughters, Johna (Jim) Buhr of Goldfield, Kristina (Travis Greenfield) Marcus of Alden, and Kailee Miller of Fort Dodge; 8 grandchildren, Jade Marcus, Ayedden Miller, Rylee Marcus, Sagan Marcus, Gage Miller, Kellinn Miller, Andrew Buhr, and Charlie Buhr; sisters, Kim (Rick) Quade of Knierim, Shelly (Todd) Powers of Farnhamville, Marci (Rick) Markley of Rinard, and Colleen Hubert of Rinard; brother Tim (Becky) Henderson of Fort Dodge; and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his wife Linda "Linn" Miller; grandson Floyd Marcus Miller; his parents, Floyd Miller and Barbara Dowling Hughes; and brother Allen Miller. Steven Craig Miller was born January 19, 1956 at Somers, Iowa. He graduated from Cedar Valley High School, with the Class of 1974. Steve served in the United States Air Force. On June 16, 1979 he was united in marriage to Linda A. Melton at their home in Rinard and two daughters, Kristina and Kailee were born to this union. Steve drove truck for many years. In 1994, he graduated from Iowa State University with a Construction Engineer degree. Following his education, Steve worked as an engineer for several different companies until his retirement.
