Theodore R Jackowell

Theodore R. Jackowell "Ted", 78, of Fort Dodge passed away Tuesday, March 28, 2017 at the Paula J. Baber Hospice Home. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, March 31, 2017, in the Chapel of the Laufersweiler-Sievers Funeral Home with Rev. Patrick Behm, officiating. Burial will follow at the Chapel of Peace Mausoleum at North Lawn Cemetery, where Military Rites will be presented by the U.S. Air Force and the V.F.W. Post 1856. A visitation will be Thursday from 4:00 to 7:00 pm at the funeral home. Ted is survived by his brother, Tony Jackowell and his wife Anna of Fort Dodge; nephews, Steve Jackowell and his daughters, Zoey and Gianna of Fort Dodge; and Damon Jackowell and his wife Jackie and their children, Skylar and Logan of Scottsdale, AZ. He was preceded in death by his parents, Steve and De Elta K. (Angle) Jackowell. Theodore R. Jackowell was born September 27, 1938, in Chicago, Illinois. He was raised in Algona until the age of four. He and his family then moved to Fort Dodge, where Ted graduated from Saint Edmond High School in 1957. From 1957 until 1961, Ted served in the United States Air Force. He lived in Ventura, California and worked for Von's Grocery Store until his retirement. In 1998, Ted returned to Fort Dodge. Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
